Customer Agreement
Draft for legal review. Not yet in force. These draft terms show how the ByteVoice service is intended to work. Until they are finalised, the agreement or order form you sign with StrategyByte Pty Ltd is what applies.
Status of these terms
These terms are between StrategyByte Pty Ltd (ABN 21 679 490 727), the maker of ByteVoice, and the business that signs up for ByteVoice (“you”). If anything here differs from your signed agreement or order form, the signed document applies.
The service
ByteVoice answers your business’s phone calls with an AI receptionist. Depending on your plan, it can answer and route calls, take messages, book, move and cancel appointments, and send confirmations and reminders by SMS and email. What each plan includes is shown on our pricing.
Plans, fees and billing
- Prices are in Australian dollars and exclude GST, which is added where it applies.
- You can be billed monthly, or yearly at a discount. A yearly plan is billed once a year, in advance.
- Each plan includes a number of minutes a month. Minutes over that are charged at the overage rate for your plan.
- The Standard plan’s free trial lasts one month. After it, Standard is billed at its normal price unless you cancel during the trial.
Cancelling
Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time and stop at the end of the month already paid for. For yearly plans, the cancellation and refund terms are set out in your order form; ask us before you sign up if you want them in writing first.
Your responsibilities
- Use ByteVoice lawfully, including state and territory laws on recording calls.
- Keep the rules you give ByteVoice (opening hours, urgent-call handling, who to transfer to) accurate and up to date.
- Tell your callers how you handle their information, in your own privacy policy.
Call data and privacy
You decide why and how your callers’ information is used; we handle it on your behalf to provide the service. On the Standard, Pro and Enterprise plans, call recordings, transcripts and caller details are stored in Australia. Some processing, such as speech recognition and AI responses, may happen outside Australia depending on your set-up, and we confirm where each part of your service runs before you start. We do not use your calls to train AI models. Our Privacy Policy explains the rest.
What ByteVoice does not do
ByteVoice does not give medical, legal or financial advice. Urgent calls are passed to your team, or the caller is told to call 000, by the rules you set.
Consumer law and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Questions? Email info@bytevoice.com.au.
